Freshly back from Punta Cana with a brand new sun-kissed tan and I gotta say it feels damn good right now. As for the icing on the cake, I received my diploma and official school transcripts in a rainproof envelop. Life's good, I guess.

Well, my nose's already in a book; I'm preparing myself for the 3rd/C (well, the 4th to be more on point since I'm doing the 4th before the 3rd, which is splitted into 2 exams) SOA exam and I have absolutely/resolutely nay intention to fail it. It costs 375$ to write the damn thing, can you believe it (it'll also cost me 100 hours of study per hour of exam; 400 in total)? I have no student discount as I'm no longer a student. That's kaka. The 3rd exam (ML+MFE) costs 300+150$! The SOA is officially a greedy cash machine. But to be fair, your salary overcompensates it, so all's good, I guess.

OH MON! I've been gone for a loooong time. My brain is dead for now, so I won't be writing a lot. Just enough to mention the fact that I just finished my fall session and got the last B- required in an actuarial course! YES! One more session to go and I'm officially graduating.

Oh and by the by, I'm terribly sorry for not replying to my emails. I'll work on it tomorrow, after a good night' sleep. I appreciate the support :D

I realized time flies quicker than I though it would. Here we are, one day before June and still no sunshine. Things have been pretty crazy since school ended. As we neared the end of May, I found myself with no time in my hands. A few weeks ago, I found the perfect summer job: "commis de perception" at La Ronde (in English, it would be clerk-something... It deals with money/finance). It should be fun, since my friends work there too. Also, I've seen the greatest movie of the year (in my opinion), "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End". Although, the ending of the Will-&-Elizabeth story could have been much better, I really loved the twists and the unexpected surprises, as well as the battle in the end (hehe, something pretty funny and romantic happened, don't worry, no spoilers)! I've been relistening to the soundtracks and movies (the first and the second one) non-stop (i.e. whenever I was at home). I may sound like a typical 16-year-old teenager when I say "Orlando's so *$^!*$&% hot in the movie" *drools*. Moving along. I'm going to Cancun next week (yeees, the beach!! The beautiful weather!) and will be going to New York (and perhaps spend a few days in Toronto) at the end of July with my Uni friends. Summer time's always fun but I feel that this summer's going to be very super-exciting, if such adjective exists :D

Wow, it's freaking cold outside and we're in March... Anyway, I wanted to apoligize for not updating the page while I was on Spring break, as I was busy studying for my midterms. I still have a stupid paper to write for a class that is not even related to my field of study... Talking about a serious lack of motivation. (And lack of interest). Back to subject no 1: my scanner is connected to my dad's laptop and most of the time, he takes his laptop to work. I tried installing the program on my computer (so I can scan on this computer) but for some odd + unknown reason, it just doesn't want to work. I don't know what's up with the scanners not liking me. I've tried installing the two (kaka) scanners we have at home but neither of them seems to be showing any love. I need some loving, people.

We just received the notice that we soon have to do our schedule for the next session (already?!) and I'm starting to feel sad because some of us are graduating soon (yes, and part of me is happy, really happy about graduation) . Even though I met some of them just last year, we're really really close and I hope we can maintain our friendship even after graduation. (And they have such strong/funny/incredible personalities!) It'll be insteresting to see the different path our lives will take from then on. Until then, let's work hard together (as always) towards our goal! (such a cheesy way to end an entry >_>)

Well, since I spent most of my "morning" (woke up really late because I was up until 3AM last night), making/receiving phone calls and writing emails, I might as well say to the rest of the world, "may you have a very Happy New Year". Today, we celebrate the beginning of the year of the Fire Pig, which promises to be an exciting year (unless you're born under the year of the pig, you know the rule). If you happen to be born under the year of the Rat (like me), watch out for your health! Career and money should be not be a concern this year though. For more information, click here.

I'm terribly sorry for the lack of updates, but I have been really busy lately. I spent the first half of my winter vacation with my family (it was Christmas after all) and the second part, with my friends from High School, Cegep & University (shopping, movies,... you know the drift). It was fun but sadly, all came to an abrupt end on the 10th of January (the day I went back to school). But, I must say my classes are pretty interesting this session so I'm hoping it'll be a pleasant session. I've received my grades from last session and I was really happy because my hard work paid off. Thus, I'll proudly post my grades up.

Actuarial Mathematics II: A
Bond Market and Interest Rates: A-
Analysis & Assessment of a Firm: A
Stochastic process: B

I don't know if it's because of the wintry and drowsy weather but I'm always feeling so damn tired. So, I'll log off and do a little bit of reading before heading to bed.

Third year (of University) is only starting and it's pretty damn hectic. Work keeps on getting piled up.

Well, the first weeks were pretty much spent "socializing" at Happy Hours ("5 à 7", ou pour être plus exacte, 5 à 8...) at various insurance companies (that gave out free stuff) or at school, for the career week they had (once again, free dark chocolate, totebags, strange-shaped water bottles,...). Given that, my days started around 9am and I usually got home around 9/10pm. Tired? Totally drained out...

That being said, I now declare myself in study mode to catch up the few weeks of work I've been too damn busy to handle.

To console myself, I will (eventually) develop those pictures from Cancun and stick 'em up on my wall so I can go on (temporary) vacation whenever I want to.

Notice the abusive use of brackets. I just can't help it.
